Sites are created on SquareSpace, WordPress, Weebly, Wix, and Shopify.
GoNanny was without a business website and the founder did not have any availability to assist in making one so I 100% owned creating the site that they now use. I identified the primary purpose of the site, determined the experience that users should have when visiting, created sitemaps and wireframes, developed visual assets, wrote content and put all the pieces together using SquareSpace.
VSP is a new group trying to help companies get fit-for-funding. Their founding partner had a firm grasp on what they will do as a company but needed help pulling that vision into a user-friendly website. Company founders will frequent this site and we want them to easily obtain enough information to drive them to reach out for help. MY experience working directly below multiple start-up founders made me well suited to design with them in mind. This site was built on Squarespace so that multiple team members can easily update at anytime.
Just 72 hours away from an art show, a complete overhaul of the outdated Independent Belle SquareSpace website was necessary ASAP. After a quick conversation where I gathered what the client had in mind, I put together a completely new layout for the site, including rewrote sections of content to better reflect the brand in present day. Then we reviewed together and I directed her on what new images were required to complete the update.
The majority of help that Christopher Mott needed was codifying his business. He has been successful for many reasons but putting what it is he does down on paper, or in a website, was difficult. In particular, in the industry he operates, it is imperative to have an experienced network but find a balance of sharing that information without being excessive. Together, I led him through multiple deep dive exercises and the outcome was strategic. He now has an online presence that extends his traditional face-to-face sales.
Mr. B’s had a site created by an overseas team and unfortunately, what they had didn’t meet their needs. I took what was previously made and created a whole new site, updated design and increased functionality for wholesale customer included. They now have a site that allows all types of customers to get what they need online and their administrative staff can easily keep the site up to date using the user friendly CMS tools of SquareSpace.
This is the third venture of Christopher Mott and the most emotional of the three. ScaleUp helps company founders with their trust is imperative, so developing a brand tagline that immediately communicates that was imperative. Once I wrote that, the rest of the website look and feel was natural. My services extend far beyond just building a site, I help take a vision from the sky to the world wide web.
The Lab is an offshoot of a Chicagoland youth organization but doesn’t carry the same not-for-profit classification, so a separate site was required. The primary user of The Lab site are parents of children who aren’t the extremely tech savvy. It was imperative to make the site simple and direct so that they get what they are looking for with ease. This site was built using Weebly’s free account level.
In 1985, Kevin’s mother founded The Ideal Candidate, a non profit focused on teaching neighborhood youth important skills required to be successful. Over the years Kevin learned first hand the curriculum and in 2015 he decided to transition that curriculum into an office setting with The Success Hub. I led the research and development of Success Hub’s market strategy and positioning, including creating a brand new website and redesigning product materials to better reach the new target audience.
